| Overall winner of the Norwegian Championships was Ingvald Arne Meland, just ahead of newcomer Sondre Ski. Congratulations to both! We (model Helene Winsnes and myself) placed 7th and 3rd in the two wide angle categories, and followed through with a 6th place in macro, a 3rd place in fish portrait and a 2nd place in the pattern theme class to clinch an overall bronze medal. The competition became a really close race, with just 15 point separating the first two photographers and a mere 3 points from second to third place. Even the photographers in the following places was just a few points behind, but luck was on our side and we secured the bronze medal. This was my best result in the splash-in championships - previously I have placed 4th and 7th. Thanks to everyone who pariticipated, organized and made this happen. I also especially want to thank my excellent model and "creature-finder" Helene Winsnes! More images can be found in this article at www.nrk.no. The complete results and images are now available at www.ndf.no (PDF, Norwegian only). |
